Celebrating Four Weeks of French Fun at Botany Library
Botany Library 四周法语趣味俱乐部圆满结束
On Sunday, 23 August 2026, we wrapped up four wonderful weeks of French Fun Club at Botany Library — and what a lovely French adventure it has been!
Over the four weeks, children in East Auckland discovered French through songs, games, stories, crafts and creative activities. From Bonjour! and colours to family and fruit, each week brought a new opportunity to listen, speak, play and create in French.
We believe children learn languages best when they are curious, engaged and having fun. One parent shared a particularly lovely story after her son attended just one session. For the whole week, he kept calling his mum “Maman”. One day, while he was in the shower, he was even talking to himself in French, saying that he had no brother or sister!
She added that if he could attend a French class once a week, she believed he would become even more interested and learn very quickly.
We were also touched by the other feedback from our families:
“She even teaches the French words to her school friends.”
“My child absolutely loves attending French Fun Club and always looks forward to her next class.”
“Monica has such a fun and engaging way of teaching, making learning feel like play.”
These little moments remind us why we love teaching languages to children: when learning is enjoyable, children naturally want to keep using the language beyond the classroom.

2026年8月23日（星期日），我们在 Botany Library 圆满结束了为期四周的 French Fun Club 法语趣味俱乐部——一段充满欢笑与惊喜的法语小旅程！
在这四周里，East Auckland 的孩子们通过歌曲、游戏、故事、手工和互动活动探索法语。从 Bonjour! 问候、颜色、家庭到水果，每一周都是一次新的法语冒险。
我们相信，孩子学习语言最重要的是兴趣、参与和快乐。有一位家长分享了一个特别可爱的故事：孩子只参加了一次活动，却整整一周都用法语叫妈妈“Maman”。有一天，他洗澡的时候，还在自言自语地用法语说“我没有兄弟，也没有姐妹”。
这位家长还说，如果孩子能够每周参加一次法语课，相信他会越来越感兴趣，也会学得很快。
其他家长也分享了他们的感受：
“她甚至会把学到的法语单词教给学校里的朋友。”
“我的孩子非常喜欢参加 French Fun Club，总是期待下一节课。”
“Monica 的教学方式非常有趣、富有互动性，让学习感觉就像在玩一样。”
这些真实的小故事，也正是我们喜欢儿童语言教学的原因：当孩子真正享受学习时，他们会自然而然地把语言带到课堂之外，生活之中。
