French Fun Club at Botany Library – Colours, Culture and Smiles
On Sunday, 2 August, our French Fun Club returned to Botany Library for another joyful morning of language learning and cultural discovery. Once again, the classroom was filled with enthusiastic young learners and supportive parents as children explored the theme of Colours (Les couleurs) through songs, games, cartoons and creative activities.
The session also took us on a virtual trip to Paris! Children discovered the iconic Eiffel Tower by watching a Peppa Pigepisode set in France, followed by authentic footage of one of the world's most famous landmarks. It was a wonderful way to connect French language learning with French culture and inspire children's curiosity about the world.
To finish the session, every child continued building their own French Fun Club Passport, colouring the Eiffel Tower and creating a personalised page featuring their favourite colour. By the end of the class, many children were confidently recognising and naming colours in French.
After the session, one of our French Fun Club parents, Carmen, kindly shared this wonderful feedback:
"My child absolutely loves attending French Fun Club and always looks forward to her next class. She gets so excited that she runs into the session! She even teaches the French words to her school friends.
Monica has such a fun and engaging way of teaching, making learning feel like play. I also had the opportunity to sit in on a class and really enjoyed learning a few French words myself too! Thanks Monica."

Feedback like this is the greatest encouragement for our team. Seeing children develop a genuine love for French and the confidence to use it beyond the classroom is exactly what French Fun Club is all about.
A heartfelt thank you to Botany Library for partnering with us to bring this free community programme to local families, and to all the parents for your continued encouragement and support. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for more French adventures. À bientôt!
Monica!”

À bientôt!
